Patients of all other health funds will only receive an account for the gap amount if one applies. To request an estimate of your gap, please visit the fees and estimates page for further information.

Uninsured and cosmetic patients will need to prepay before their surgery (see fees and estimates).

Patients for morning surgery need to FAST from midnight. Afternoon scheduled patients FAST from 7:00 AM. Please check with your surgeons rooms for your expected surgery times.

Usually you should NOT interrupt your normal medicines and they can be taken at the usual times including the day of surgery with a few sips of water. However, diabetic patients and patients on warfarin, aspirin, plavix or any other “blood thinner” should contact our rooms as soon as possible for special advice. Patients taking herbal products should also contact our rooms as some of these need to be ceased for two weeks before surgery.

Most often, Dr Di Florio will see you in hospital on the day of surgery. Dr Di Florio will call you prior to surgery if required. Referred patients and patients with significant medical problems undergoing a major procedure will be seen in the rooms prior to surgery.

If you have any other queries please contact the rooms on (08) 9367 8311.
